Excuse the potato pics. Big storm this afternoon, and this literally just happened. Can’t wait to start modding. I’m pretty excited about this.

Kinja'd!!! Kinja'd!!!

Bye, E60. I will miss you.

Kinja'd!!!

Had a hard time talking my daughter (just turned 4) into the new car. She really did not want to say goodbye to the E60. But we took a special ride in it together, and talked about what she liked and didn’t like. Now she’s excited about the i3.

The new thing is more practical, less comfortable, more fun in a lot of ways, has a way worse audio system, but it’s the newest car I’ve ever owned. Can’t wait until we have our powdercoat oven at work— those wheels are getting stripped and coated. The seats: there’s gotta be some replacement option. I don’t like the i3's seats much.

Next up: hax.

It is!

I mean, I’ve had it like two hours. But, yeah. It is.

I test drove one this morning. Really liked it. Considering you can pick one up with under 30k miles and range extender for the low 20s, I’m pretty sure I’m gonna get one of these upon getting a big-boy job.

Very cool. The dealer gave me a ride in one when I dropped my old car off for the airbag recall, it struck me as a fun commuter.

That was my situation. 2014, 20k miles. Gave them my E60, drove home in this. First hack will be the gas tank and hold charge.

Oh man. I hope you go all out modding this. My vote is for mid 2000's Volvo s60 seats with custom brackets for maximum comfort!

I just wish I could have kept the seat from the E60. Best ever.

And of course you’ll need to add a tasteful rear wing...

What gets me is how comically narrow the tires are on these BMWs

I found that the longer we’ve had our i3 the more comfy I find the seats. The ICE does sound awful if it’s the standard one, not great but much better if it’s got the HK upgrade like ours has (the standard system in our SEAT Leon sounds much better!).

As the weeks go by the i3's qualities will really endear it to you, plus that off the line acceleration.......
